The current rate of exchange for Yen to £ Sterling is another factor to take into consideration, it represents excellent value for money, and certainly worth considering if you are in the market place for a change of vehicle.

When you compare the level of specifications between the Japanese home market vehicles and their UK equivalent, the verdict heavily favours the home market based ones. Most examples host the following as standard:-

Another area of note is mileage, due to extremely high toll charges, together with chronic traffic congestion, most vehicles travel approximately 35% less than their UK counterparts

Quality car ownership in Japan in a tangible symbol of wealth and "face". They place great emphasis on the specification of the cars they own. In addition, all cars are by law fitted with a speed restrictor - regardless of performance - to limit their maximum speed to 180 kmph (approximately 108 mph).

This legally enforced restriction does ensure full peace of mind that the vehicle has not been abused at high speed. The restrictor can be easily removed when imported into the UK, therefore reverting the vehicle to its original factory designed performance.

Vehicles are formally reviewed and graded by Japanese Government appointed Inspectors prior to submission for auction. The very highest quality vehicles are given Grades 5 and 4, these - and only these - are bought and imported by CMC.

The sub-standard vehicles, graded down from 3.5 to 1 and "A" for "Accident Damaged" have been the targeted by disreputable dealers and gained the displeasure/notoriety of the "Top Gear" television crew. CMC Car Sales give an unequivocal pledge that they have not - nor will ever - purchase these grades of vehicles.

CMC Car Sales will fully convert the vehicle to meet all current UK regulations, this involves:-

*Conversion of speedometer to read miles per hour instead of kilometres per hour

*Odometer conversion to read in miles travelled

*Removal of speed restricter

*Installation of foglights that comply with MOT regulations

*Fitting of a radio bank extender to enable the hi-fi system to receive UK radio stations

*Fuel restricter on models new and up to 10 years old

*A full safety inspection will be carried out
